First ever Bubble Run in the UAE happening at Bluewaters

World-popular Bubble Run will make its debut in the Middle East this February 26, Sunday at Ain Dubai in Bluewaters Island. This is a sure fun addition to the jam-packed running events in the emirate.

In Bubble Run, participants run, walk, dance, and play across a 3km course. Foam Bogs of colored suds are encountered along the course. Runners in the BUBBLE RUN range from first-timers to seasoned competitors. But there’s no race clock, no timing chips, and no Dubai Sports coverage. No one worries about setting a PR. It’s all about having fun.

How it works

Runners are grouped into 5 batches. Every batch runs 30 minutes apart starting from 8am.

Once your heat has started, smaller groups will be released every 60-90 seconds. Your physical start time is based on a first come-first serve basis, so naturally, you will start earlier if you enter the starting line earlier.

The Course

Bubble Runners will follow a beautiful 3km course through the amazing scenery of Bluewaters with the signature bubble cannons positioned throughout the track ensure runners will be bubbly from head to toe until the finish line.

Here’s a video of a previous Bubble Run event to give you an idea of what could happen:

So where does all the foam go after the event?

In the previous Bubble Run, organizers hire a third-party water reclamation company that not only pressure washes the surfaces but also has an extraction process. All the water/foam is then vacuumed up and transported to their treatment areas and reclaimed.

We should expect something similar here in Dubai.
