AED 100,000 fine for impounded vehicles

  • Intentional collision with police vehicles

AED 10,000 fine for impounded vehicles

  • Vehicle modifications affecting speed & noise, creating disturbances
  • Evading the police
  • Driving without license plates
  • Gathering to watch races or chaotic activities that showcase vehicles
  • Exceeding tint percentage or tint in front windshield without a permit

Additional new rules

  • Dubai Police can impound vehicles exceeding AED6,000 in total fines.
  • Unclaimed impounded vehicles after the designated period require payment of AED50 per day.
  • Non-UAE national heavy vehicle drivers running red lights may face administrative deportation.
  • Repeat offenses lead to doubled impoundment periods and release fees, up to AED200,000.
